Wellington’s coolest little choir, The Doubtful Sounds, is coming to Stonehenge Aotearoa for a special concert of music under thestars.
Lead by director and RNZ Nights host, Bryan Crump, the choir has put together a song list tailored to suit Stonehenge’s magical location and special acoustic, with music by Elton John, Aldous Harding, Sam Cooke, The Church, Radiohead, Elbow, and many more.
It continues a choir tradition of performing in exciting locations. Last year the Doubtfuls were nominated for a Wellington Fringe award for a stunning series of underground concerts in the Wrights Hill Fortress above Karori.
“We love a good echo, and we can’t wait to try out Stonehenge Aotearoa’s unique performing space,” says Crump.
$20 ($10 children)
Concert starts at 7pm, Saturday September 5th. Bring your own mats, deckchairs and blankets. Wet weather option in the Stonehenge Hall.
