The Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve is an internationally recognised region protecting one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s darkest night skies. Designated in 2023, the Reserve covers 3,665 square kilometres across the Wairarapa Valley and is home to around 21,000 residents.
