When the sun goes down, Wairarapa lights up!
From 13 – 27 April, this region-wide celebration brings together International Dark Sky Week and Conservation Week with a vibrant programme of local events, displays and storytelling.
Discover world-class stargazing in our International Dark Sky Reserve and meet the weird and wonderful wildlife that comes alive after dusk. Our dark skies are globally recognised now it’s time to experience the magic right on your doorstep!
We are thrilled to have friends form Winterstellar dark sky group in Central Otago visiting with the Rangi Tako exhibition, which will be hosted at Wairarapa Event Centre from 13 – 17 April.
At the Dark Sky connections event in Masterton On Wednesday 15th April Dark Sky International board chair Nalayini Brito will be speaking on the opportunities the reserve brings to our region.
